Like flowers in a rock garden bending in a summer breeze, sea anemones decorate the rock pool, petal like tentacles waving in the ebb and flow of the tide; their orange reds pinks and purples contrasting brightly with the greens of the seaweeds.

Wrack Forest     £32.00
Slender and tall in the shelter of the boulders which rise like hills surrounding a sheltered valley, bladder wrack stands upright, only bending as it reaches the surface, where it streams out with the current and wind. Tiny crabs scuttle at the foot of these underwater trees or climb into the branches scurrying hither and thither as wrasse flit bird-like through this watery woodland.

Kelp     £32.00
Slippery ribbons of algae slide and drift forward and backwards with the swell. Greens, blues and golds contrast with the dark depths revealed with every turn of the fronds. Delicate white lace-like sea mats cling to the strands dressing the sea weed.

Flitting elusively through the kelp, fish of the rocky reef are glimpsed tantalisingly briefly with colourful, sometimes brilliant, flashes of light reflecting off shining fish and sea weed alike.

Mooring Line     £32.00
Moving as an entity, a silvery shoal of sand eels reel and turn around the warp that disappears into the depths. The sudden appearance of this alien intruder divides the fish who scatter in confusion, lost for seconds in panic, only to meet up again safe in the comfort being part of one movement once again.

Between deep crevasses in the sea-smoothed boulders, grains of sand born of the incessant movement of the water, settle into a well of tranquillity. Sunlight dappled by the rippling surface reflects ever changing patterns of light over sand and rock alike.

Shells     £32.00
Still lovely in death, the skeletons of a thousand sea-creatures are sifted and arranged in swirls and piles by the regular movement of the tides. Neatly sorted by the currents, nature's abundance of design and colour is slowly ground down to a fine shell sand.

Sunburst     £32.00

Forests in the sea are formed by sea-weeds reaching towards the light. From the sea-bed looking up through the ever waving fronds of these under-water trees the sun shines down, rays of light bouncing and refracting with the currents.

Lion's Mane     £32.00

Long tentacles stream out behind the pulsating dome of the Cyanea Capillata - The Lion's mane jelly-fish. Beautiful, the sinuous opalescent creatures swim at the whim of the current in the clear waters of a Scottish Sea loch.

The Sea Visions Limited Edition series of aqua-tint etchings celebrates the underwater world. There are now nine images in the series, image size (unmounted) ca 15cms x 20cms (ca 6" x 8"), except Lion's Mane, which is ca. 12.5 x 25cms (ca 5" X 10").

Each etching is sold mounted using an acid-free white mount card.
